5 Must Have Blogging Tools Every Blogger Needs

Stop wondering what blogging equipment for beginners you actually need! This guide reveals the best blogging tools and resources that every blogger needs in their toolkit.

5 Must Have Blogging Tools Every Blogger Needs-01

Managing your blog can be really overwhelming; thankfully, there are many apps you can utilize to help you keep on top of your blogging processes. We’ve compiled a list of our must-have blogging tools every blogger needs today!

Who said being a blogger would be easy?! From planning your content for your blog, social media, and emails. Bloggers wear so many hats, which is why we need the right tools to help us manage it all.

5 Must Have Blogging Tools Every Blogger Needs

Here are some of my favourite apps that I use every day to help me manage my blog.

Squarespace

I’ve recently made mention that I migrated from WordPress to Squarespace as my content management tool, and WOWZA have I been missing out. Squarespace is easy to use, secure, and doesn’t require any updates! After just a few weeks of using Squarespace, it has already proven to be one of the best choices I made.

It allows you to focus on creating content, rather than spending most of your time updating plugins!

Flodesk

Every blogger should invest the time in starting an email list. Not only do you have another way of communicating to your audience. Social Media algorithms are constantly changing and your audience is not always seeing all your content, this is where having an email list you can directly have access to can increase your engagement.

Flodesk is by far my favourite email marketing platform. It allows you to set up workflows and landing pages. It’s an intuitive platform not to mention it’s a designer’s dream! Flodesk has many done-for-you templates so you can create captivating emails in no time.

Airtable

I’ve used every project management tool under the sun. Airtable is my latest obsession, and oh man, I’m loving it! Airtable makes it easy for you to log your content ideas, keep track of each task, and schedule your content. Airtable also makes use of handy automation to help you save time! Airtable is what you’d get when ClickUp and Google Sheets had a baby! It’s the best of both and has been extremely helpful without me feeling overwhelmed with another project tool I need to maintain.

Canva

What kind of blogging tool would it be listed without one of my favourites! Canva is an incredible tool that makes non-designers create attention-grabbing designs to share on social media platforms, create email freebies, media kits, and so much more. Canva is also always releasing brand more brand-new features to help you be the best creator you can be! Theblogsocial.com has plenty of helpful tips and tricks if you’re not too familiar with the platform.

Plann Instagram Scheduler

Next up is my favourite Instagram scheduling tool! Having a scheduling app like Plann allows you to batch create your content and gives you more time to spend focusing on other parts of running a successful blog. You might be thinking what makes Plann different to all the other scheduling tools? Plann is all about community and listening to what its users want! The app is intuitive and easy to use.

There are so many things I love about Plann, like their media library, built-in caption ideas, and planning reels.

BONUS Tool: BlogToPin

BlogToPin makes Pinterest feel less like a puzzle and more like your best-performing platform.

Let’s be honest—manually pinning every blog post to multiple boards is a time-suck that keeps you glued to your computer instead of creating more content.

BlogToPin automatically pins your new blog posts to your chosen Pinterest boards the moment you hit publish, which means your content starts working for traffic while you’re doing literally anything else. I love that it spreads out your pins naturally over time (no spammy bulk posting here), and the setup takes about 10 minutes.

Since Pinterest pins can drive traffic for months, not hours like other platforms, having BlogToPin handle the heavy lifting means every blog post gets the Pinterest love it deserves—without you lifting a finger. It’s like having a Pinterest assistant who never takes a day off.

There are so many other amazing tools; this blogging tools list is merely my recommendations. What’s most important is finding the right tools that fit your process and make your life easier. Let me know in the comments below what your favourite blogging tools are?

All of these are fantastic tools to make money, Candice! I use many of them, but have always wanted to try BlogtoPin, I’m so intrigued by it, I always create my own pins in Canva but that would be so helpful if it did it for me!
