Canva is one of those holy grail apps every content creator, blogger or solopreneur should have. It’s an incredibly easy graphic design tool that can be used by anyone, even if you don’t have a creative bone in your body. Canva makes it easier for you to create branded graphics to share with your audience.

When creating your branded graphics, chances are you have two or three branded fonts you use. Canva has a wide selection of fonts to choose from. However, if you do find that Canva doesn’t have a specific font you’re looking for or you’ve purchased custom fonts, you can easily upload your custom fonts in Canva too!

How to easily upload custom fonts in Canva

Sadly, you need to own a Canva Pro account to be able to upload your own custom fonts to your Canva library.

  • On the Canva homepage find Brand Kit located on the left panel.

  • Choose the brand kit you want to upload them against.

  • Under brand, fonts click on Upload a font

  • This will take you to your computer, simply select the font you want to upload.

Have multiple fonts you wish to upload? Follow the process for each font you want to add.

Are the fonts in Canva free or for commercial use?

Canva’s licensing terms confirm that all free photos, music and video files on Canva can be used for free for commercial and noncommercial use. Given that any free files have the appropriate releases for commercial use.

How do I know if a font is free to use

All the fonts found on the Canva app are free to use unless there’s a crown next to it which will indicate that you need a Canva pro account to use that specific font.
