How to Leverage Pinterest Trends for Your Content

If you’re wondering how to stay ahead of the curve on Pinterest in 2025, you’re in the right place. I’m talking about using Pinterest Trends to fuel your content strategy and create posts that not only resonate but actually drive results. No more guessing—let’s get real about what works.

How to Leverage Pinterest Trends for Your Content

What the Heck is Pinterest Trends?

Pinterest Trends is like your personal content crystal ball. It shows you current and upcoming trends on Pinterest, giving you a clear view into the topics your audience is buzzing about. Imagine having a tool that helps you tap directly into the pulse of what people are searching for and pinning every day. That’s the power of Pinterest Trends—it takes the guesswork out of planning content.

How can you leverage Pinterest Trends?

Using the Pinterest Trends tool isn’t rocket science—it’s about aligning your content with current and relevant content. Here’s how you can make it work for you:

1) Discover Trending Topics

Start by exploring Pinterest Trends to identify the topics or keywords that are on fire right now. These insights give you a roadmap for what content your audience is craving. When you know what’s trending, you can create posts that feel fresh and timely.

Use Pinterest Predicts to get ahead with predicting trends so you can plan content on Pinterest in advance.

To make it even easier, Pinterest usually posts a Pinterest trends report to help you with what will be trending. This is a goldmine for creating content on the platform.

2) Optimise Your Pin Designs

Your visuals need to match the vibe of the top trends. Use the insights to update your pin designs—experiment with colours, fonts, and layouts that are in style. When your pins look as current as your content, you’re more likely to catch eyes and drive engagement.

3) Plan a Content Calendar

Integrate trending topics into your content calendar so you’re always one step ahead. Schedule posts around these trends and stay consistent with your content. A well-planned calendar means you’re not scrambling for ideas, and your audience gets a steady flow of relevant posts.

4) Repurpose and Refresh Old Content

Don’t let your best content gather dust. Use Pinterest Trends to breathe new life into older posts by updating them with fresh insights. This strategy not only boosts engagement but also makes your content work double duty, saving you time and energy.

Recap & Next Steps

When you leverage Pinterest Trends, you’re not just following what’s popular—you’re strategically aligning your content with your audience’s interests. From discovering hot seasonal keywords to refreshing your old posts, these steps will help you stay relevant and drive more traffic to your blog.

  1. This is such a great post, I just pinned it! I have really been slacking on Pinterest these days. I always create a pin per blog post, but I know I need to be doing multiple pins per post and keeping up with old posts/new pins, etc. Love all of this helpful info!!
