Step 2: Go to the Rich Pins Validator

Visit the Pinterest Rich Pins Validator tool at https://developers.pinterest.com/tools/url-debugger/

Step 3: Enter a URL From Your Website

In the validator, enter the URL of any page on your website (not your homepage). This allows Pinterest to scan and validate the metadata on that specific page.

Step 4: Click “Validate”

After entering the URL, click the “Validate” button. Pinterest will then analyze the metadata on that page.

Step 5: Review the Validation Results

If the validation is successful, you’ll see a “Congratulations!” message and a green checkmark. This means your page is set up correctly for Rich Pins. If there are any issues, the validator will provide details on what needs to be fixed. Address any errors and revalidate the page.

Step 6: Apply for Rich Pins

Once your page is validated, you’ll need to apply for Rich Pins. Click the “Apply now” button in the validator tool. Pinterest will review your application and, if approved, you’ll receive an email confirmation. This process can take up to a week. After approval, any new pins you create linking to your website will automatically display as Rich Pins. Existing pins will also be updated to the correct format. And that’s it!
