But with an Instagram Reel, you can tell a story in 30-second increments. With a smart plan, you can curate your content, control your brand, and tell a story to your customers in a cohesive way.

If you’re not sure what Instagram Reels are and how you can leverage this feature as a blogger or content creator, you’re going to love this post! Reels are a brand new content type on Instagram that lets you create short-form video content. With the rise and popularity of TikTok amongst millennials, who are the core audience of most influencers. Call it Instagram stealing TikTok’s thunder, but Instagram’s latest move is a play to get everyone to share more videos on its platform and to get more of these users back to their platform.

What are Instagram Reels?

Instagram Reels are vertical short-form videos that users can share on their feed. These videos can be up to 60 seconds long and are easily digestible videos. Because they are so short, you can then make a series of videos to present a longer topic.

Tips for planning your Instagram Reels content

Instagram is your best friend when it comes to selling yourself as a travel influencer. The Instagram community has an amazing pace for connecting with current and potential customers and audiences. With short-form video dominating the world of the web Instagram Reel can be a great addition to your Instagram strategy. Here are a few useful tips to help you plan better Instagram Reels content.

Choose a theme for the Reel

Look at what’s trending in your niche, and choose a popular topic or theme that will be of interest to your followers.

Outline your Instagram Reel

Create an outline for what you want to include in your Reel. Keep it short and to the point. Don’t forget to include a Call to Action. Adding a CTA to your Instagram content will encourage people to interact with your posts, share your profile, website with others, and purchase your products.

Don’t forget the hashtags

When you share your content, add hashtags related to the topic. Use at least 3 hashtags in your post. This will allow you to show up in related searches. Use a hashtag that is specific to your niche and a hashtag that is more focused on your audience.

Use video editing software

Use mobile video editors like Vllo, iMovie, or even Canva to create captivating videos. Get creative with it! Canva also has a few ready to use Instagram Reels templates you can use to get started.

Know your audience

ask your audience, check analytics to see what does well with them, see what or who they follow to know what type of content you can provide. CREATE QUALITY CONTENT – it’s about the quality.

Do keep in mind that Instagram’s API does not allow for auto-posting. However, it is a great way to store all upcoming Reels to help you save time.
