Using consistent branding helps to build brand recognition, but also saves you time. This is why I love the brand kit feature of Canva. Not sure how to do this? Here’s How To Setup Your Brand Kit In Canva, whether you have the free or pro version.
What You Need To Setup Your Brand KIt
- Brand colour codes
- Brand fonts
- Your brand logos and other graphic elements
Usually, when purchasing your WordPress Template it already comes with colour codes and brand fonts that suit the template you purchase like with 17th Avenue. If not, I would suggest choosing your core colours, you can use the colour picker to find your exact colour codes four-five colours should be your max. Also, choose about three throughout your graphics.
Set up Your Brand Kit in Canva
Canva Pro Makes it super Simple with your very own brand section. From the Canva Home Screen Click on Brand Kit.
From here you can upload your brand colour codes, logos and fonts. The great thing about the pro version is that you can also upload our fonts! Now, Canva does have a wide selection of fonts in their library. In my case, they didn’t have all the fonts I use for my brand. You can simply upload them from this brand kit page as well.
You can follow the same steps in the free version of Canva, the only difference is that the free version does not allow you to upload custom fonts and you can only add three colour palettes.
Using the brand kit feature makes it so much easier to create your graphics as you have everything in one place ready for you to use. This creates a more cohesive brand… You can also add everything in a document so that you have your brand kit saved if you do work with other editing platforms.
You can use my brand kit template as a base to create your brand kit. Simply swop out the colours and fonts with your own and save as a PDF to have it on hand and for easy reference.
