If you are an IOS user then chances are you’ve heard that the latest IOS 14 now allows you to create widgets and personalised app icons! Learn How To Change App Icons On iPhone on the latest software from Apple.
I am thrilled that Apple has finally introduced widgets to IOS 14. The widgets allow you to customise your phone to your heart’s content. It also makes it easier to have your favourite apps with an easier display.
One thing to note is that the shortcuts you create to change the phone icons are shortcuts which require extra set up and because of this reason you will also notice a delay before it opens up the app. The delay is a split second some might find this annoying. For others its a small price to pay for having an aesthetic home screen.
How To Change App Icons on iPhone
Follow these easy steps to change app icons on your iPhone:
- Open the Shortcuts app
- Click the + in the top right corner
- Click “Add Action”
- Type “Open App” into the search bar at the top
- Scroll down and click the “Open App” search result
- Click the 3 dots top right
- Choose “Add to home screen”
- Click the icon to change the app icon to an image of your choice
